What is Amnesty International doing to stop the rampant killing of law enforcement officers in Ghana? If politicians cannot provide jobs or an environment that creates jobs, people will find their way to cater for themselves. Politicians are supposed to develop markets for traders. They collect taxes and tolls from these same traders. I bet you it is traders’ taxes that buy the V8s and all the super-luxury benefits the KMA CEO enjoys. Politicians take everything from taxes, income from our resources (the gold, oil, and the likes) to taxes, send their children abroad for everything except their burial, and still threaten to beat up the struggling Ghanaians. What at all are the sins Ghanaians have committed to be condemned into such hellish economy. Even where they build the markets, they sell the stalls to themselves and rent them to the Ghanaian at cut throat prices. Let him try to flog anyone and he will see the fury of the downtrodden. Very soon they will come to the realization that ‘enough is enough’. Such supporting these wickedly foolish behaviors blindly.

Since you are Amnesty International and has oversight over the world over human rights, why don't you go to Saudi, UAE, Iran, etc. and talk about the flogging of people for their misconduct? Even the USA that you are getting your inspiration from is currently under dictatorship that is compromising the economies of individuals, why don't you go there and tell Trump he is destroying the lives of people? Even Sam Pyne Agrees the people of Kumasi are stubborn.

It is the same way we have handled Accra and everywhere is a mess. Traders have taken over all pesdestrian walkways and forced pedestrians to compete with vehicles on the road. This has resulted in numerous knock downs, injuries and deaths. Abi those who get injured, die or suffer permanent disability they do not have rights, it is those who sell that have rights. We talk of Rwanda as an example of a country that works. Go there and see if you can even walk over a lawn to talk of selling on the streets, and worse of all take over pedestrian walkway. If we don't move away from this nonsense of irresponsible claim of human rights, we will go nowhere. It is the same thing about galamsey. When they talk about flushing them out, then your kind will say what do they live on, find them alternatives, but the million others who get poisoned by the few murderous individuals engaged in galamsey are of no concern to you.

We are Africans and never want to do the right thing until an unusual pressure is applied. That is who we are, indiscipline.

Kumasi in the olden days was more beautiful than any city in Africa, why has it turned to be like dent of gabbages and no go area?
once a garden city is now like a refuse damp spots.
the recalcitrancy in Kumasi is beyond stupidity , rule of law cannot be applied .

We don't exist in isolation away from the issues and challenges of our life development Agenda. So what i would suggest is that Amnesty should come down to the ground and understand the issues and challenges that confront us all together and partner the Mayor's Agenda for the city better than empty criticism.
