If he has any ideas on how to stop galamsey, shouldn’t he rather offer it to the government? The government should go ahead and find and prosecute all the illegal miners and their sponsors. A lot of Ghanaians know who are hiring people to mine on our reservations, it is up to the government to go hard on them.

What effort has the Otumfour made to curb galamsey in the Ashanti Region? He claims to own every land in the Ashanti Region, why has he not ordered all galamsey to stop immediately on the land he owns? Many concerned citizens have been urging him to issue an order, which he has failed. Please allow the government to do its work. The late Offinsohene didn't allow any galamsey on his land. As soon as a new Offinsohene was installed by the Otumfour, galamsey started in Offinso unhindered. I hope some mighty hands are in, because the new chief is silent.
