  'A stitch in time saves nine'! The inactions and actions of the Kusasis gave the leeway to the Mamprusi/ Mamprugu to take the wind out of their sail although they were theowners of the land or the Tindanas. The visitors in respect of the Mamprugu/ Mamprusi were organised and provided a leadership/ to manage and control their own selves which the colonial masters exploited to gain command and control over the whole land of Bawku by recognizing the Mamprusi/ Manprugu Leadership style which eventually became established as a force to reckon with. As the years turned out the realisation came that the Kusasis take over what they had originally ignored and take control over their land and assume the appropriate command over their own people who until now were being ruled by their visitors. As a result, there became the conflicts between the two sides in the Bawku areas.

  Why are Ghanaians behaving as if Bawku belongs to the feuding parties alone. Is any part of Ghana a kingdom? What about the churches?, what about the market women? what about the youth groups? what about the school children. What about the local governance institutions? Get all the parties to the table and let them discuss their stake in the area. No party has the power to cross any other party. Simple
