When Mamprusis founded Bawku in 1721, where were Kusasis? Mamprusis founded Bawku long before colonial rule. When the whitemen came to Bawku in 1907, they met the 8th Bawku Naaba, who was a Mamprusis and all 8 chiefs were Mamprusis. Where were Kusasis? Do Kusasis have a history? Lost people! Mamprusis are not interested in ruling Kusasis. We are ruling Bawku, not Kusasis. You can see how his selfishness made him to amass questionable wealth in Dubai and his son in jail in America for fraud. He's never content. He wants more and more and that is leading him to even forget his own root. Bawku being part of mamprugu is similar to Yendi, Zabzugu, Tatale, Saboba and all the other konkonba and basare areas being part of dagbon and he should know that using his NDC gangs to illegally seize Bawku for kusasis will open the floodgates for konkonbas, basares and other tribes in dagbon to also come out and demand same as the kusasis are doing.
