We tried saying this 2 years ago, including the fact that the Ghana Card can't be used as a passport, and we were silenced with loud noises from the NPP praise singers.

But Ghana Post isn't a reliable postal service/agent when it comes to delivering expediate job. A case in point is when you post a package through Ghana Post, having given them your address, they write a different detail, as the package gets to destination, the delivery agent cannot locate the recipient due to incorrect details on the package resulting in the package being flown back to Ghana.

When you contact Ghana Post, they acknowledge that there's mistake in putting the right details you provided but once the package is returned, they cannot do anything about it unless you repay for the package to get to you again.

What sort of service is that and I wonder if Ghana Post has employed literate and competent people to handle their post/package services. I call on the Minister to check on activities of Ghana Post because there's a deal going on there, probably this has been going on for a long time.

Now, the postal worker weighs your package and you are asked to pay a certain amount of money, meanwhile he refuses to state the exact weight of the parcel/package on the receipt for which you are being asked to pay for. He then tries to state a different weight far under the actual weight on the receipt and probably pocket the difference?

The package gets to destination but cannot be delivered because Ghana Post erred in either the address or house number details and your parcel for which you paid for is returned to Ghana only to be reposted at another cost if you so wish. With such incompetency in delivering services to customers, who would entrust a passport to a Ghana Post agent for delivery? The passport is possibly bound to end in wrong hands.

As a country recovering from the mess of the previous government, I don't think this is the time for this type of passport. There is 100% nothing with the current biometric passport. No country on this Earth rejects it so I see it as a waste of money. I will only agree if they introduce it from those who now needs a renew or a change of passport. Mentioning creating of jobs here too doesn't sit well with me.
