The man is in charge for 4 months now. Not one single step towards a solution has been proposed. But we all know the problem is 2 billion USD debt, basically caused by corrupt power supply contracts signed during the first Mahama administration.

Right now those independent power suppliers can blackmail and strangle the government of Ghana any day they like. A deep restructuring of the complete sector is necessary. NOW, not 5 years from now.

NDC has to fix now what they created 10 years ago, Mahama himself has to get involved, because solving this problem is key to all his high flying promises to all of us. The country is waiting, go and perform Mr. President instead of making your brother richer than ever before.

Mahama also boasted on his campaign tour that he did solve the energy crisis before they left power. The bogus contract they left behind has come back to hunt them. John Jinapor and his government don't get. The ECG challenge has been more about cash flow management from time immemorial. The Akufo-Addo regime equally inherited legacy and Mahama administration debts including the reckless independent power purchase agreements with its 1bn$ cost a year overhang in 2017 but managed the challenge throughout its 8 years in power. The NDC has inherited nothing new and should stop complaining and get on with the job.
