  The government should increase the producer price to a good amount to stop farmers giving out their cocoa farms for mining. It will also stop smuggling of the beans to Ivory Coast. Cocobod says a new price will be announced in August of this year. Let it be a good increase to stop the menace of illigal mining and the destruction of cocoa farms and all farms.

  The issue is about how profitable a cocoa tree is to the cocoa farmer.? If the farmer can get more returns selling a cocoa tree, why not? Somebody should advise this character to take steps to increase the producer price of cocoa to encourage people to protect the cocoa industry. He can also encourage people to go into cocoa farming by introducing some incentives. Foolish talk and empty threats will not save the cocoa crop. Nonsense
