And the same Colonial masters refused to pay them pensions and compensations. When ex-soldiers demanded this, they were fired upon with live bullets (ref 28 Feb: Sgt Agyettey and co). Meanwhile, their white counterparts were given free accommodation and appropriate pensions to sustain them in Europe. A true hero will have fought for similar after service conditions for his people. THEREFORE HE WAS A SELLOUT.

We need to acknowledge the fact that , at the time, Ghana was a colony, and he excelled at what his role. His true value is not in the titles from the coloniser, but the people he guided till his demise. Prioritising education over his own luxury...

After the war the British refused to contribute to pensions of these guys who were drafted to fight in the war and returned poor after the war. British soldiers who fought in those wars enjoyed their pensions but the Africans who fought with them didn't. The British didn't also build schools in the North the result of what we are seeing today. We have to use occasions like this and say never again. We should be misled by anybody again

My father was a headteacher when Mr. Azantilow was undermining the Nayiri to get the British to establish a chieftaincy in Fumbisi and Sandema who were under the titillage of the Nayiri of Mamprugu.
