1. They present an image and the caption under the image does not speak to the image. It does not say whether the image is picture of Nkrumah and so-called kankan nyame, or a picture of a carving that belonged to Kofi Busia, or anything else. Deliberately misleading readers to draw wrong conclusions on the image.

2. They don't tell readers anything about a supposed prophet Baidoo, who makes all kinds of wild claims about Nkrumah. They don't tell readers who the prphet Baidoo is, whether he lived in those times and in the flagstaff house and saw things with his own eyes or spreading lies concocted by parents, or had a vision, revelation or dream.

3. They don't tell readers how old Kojo was in February 1966, when Nkrumah was overthrown. Was he still 3 years, 4 or 10 years old? The alleged account by Kojo Bonsu sounds like making a few misleading statements to make people draw wrong conclusions. Which part of the house was the supposed kankan nyame was - in their bedroom, living room, a room dedicated for it, in the compound, in the open or hidden?

What surprises me about the current state of Ghanaweb is that they don't even know when they are lying; Nkrumah actually came to contact with Sekou Toure in the mid-to-late 50s, around 1956 to 1958, yet the lying Ghanaweb is claiming the so-called Kankan Nyame was brought to Ghana in 1953, a time when Nkrumah had no real dealings with the Guineans.

The whole Ghanaweb failed to realize that it was a huge propaganda engineered to hoodwink Ghanaians. The infographist who was contracted by the coup mongers to draw Kankan Nyame with a dead pregnant woman confirmed this before he died, yet none of you sons of vipers could care to know the facts.

There was some photos about Kankan nyame circulating everywhere.
It looks more like artistic impression of which attracted school children to replicate.
I was one of the artists in my class to produce Kankan nyame.
It was just funny to replicate it and pass it to another artist to try his hands.
We were in Form 1 middle school and enjoyed drawing Kankan nyame for about 3 months.
Ofcourse,we bought into the story but couldn’t understand the motives behind.
I do remember that by then we had 7 regions which corresponded just like
Nkrumah’s walking sticks.Tnx.

Beside the woman stand some 7 walking sticks,each tied with a white handkerchief.
According to the story,each walking stick represents a region in Ghana and the white handkerchief represents the spirit binding the region to Kwame Nkrumah.
Somehow,Kwame Nkrumah was always seen holding a walking stick despite his relatively young age and waving a white handkerchief to the crowd.
That's Nkrumah's special charismatic level that no Ghanaian president has been able to march.
On the contrary,people read many meanings into it even the suit that he wears.That exactly what happens to great leaders.Tnx.

Thanks to Ghanatta, the best Ghana cartoonist who though, said to be a CPP member, turned straight against the regime, to save himself from going to Nsawam prison. He invented this lie of Kankan Nyame, a deity or shrine which Nkrumah devoted by pouring libation of alcohol on the body of a headless pregnant woman, with white handkerchief tied around her neck.
The cartoons magazine was popular. Ghanatta's magazine because part of the biggest propaganda war ever waged in Ghana. Back then people believed in anything published.
Kankan is a provincial town in Guinea. The people of Kankan are predominanly Muslims. Ghanatta, made it up. I grew up till my late teens to know that it was propaganda. I have travelled and lived in that part of West Africa. Infact I speak a dialect of Malinke learnt when I lived in the Gambia. Malinke is a Mande languague.

We went there with cloth tied around our neck, like some linguists do.
But to our surprise the Kankan Nyame room was a dark photo development studio, with some of the chemicals used to produce pictures still laying about. I got to know that they were photo development chemicals when I went to live in Tamale Kamina Barracks with my sister and her husband who was a photographer.
So the chemicals were developers and fixers as they were called those days.
The craft in this picture besides Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah is an Yoruba bronze artifact from Ghana's Natural Museum, Accra.
Meaning the person who made this picture went into the Museum, took a picture of the Yoruba bronze artifact and place it near the picture of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
What was supposed to be Kwame Nkrumah's Kankan Nyame was a pregnant woman which author was Ghanatta, a Ghanaian artist, which wearabouts I don't know currently.
But just as the Russian writer Gogol who denounced his "Dead Souls", whiles in the US, having come across, not selfdom as it was in his native Russia, but Negro slavery, he said that selfdom in Russia was more humane than Negro slavery in the US.
In 1991 whiles on a visit to Russia with other Ghanaians, including Nanabanyin Mbiah, former Secretary of the Concerned Caders Group of Ghana of which this writer was the Chairman, Ghanatta just as Gogol denounced his art-Kankan Nyame, as he wailed and cried like a little boy.
Thus Kankan Nyame was a fiction of the mind of Ghanatta and not even the Yoruba bronze artifact from our museum.
