This committee is not balanced and does not represent the people of Ghana. Prof Ahwoi is the mastermind of the present failed constitution of Ghana.

What good is decentralization when the president appoints all the Municipal and District Chief Executives, as well as 30% of the district assemblies membership?

Kwamena Ahwoi is himself the progenitor or architect of the present undemocratic system in place. He should never have been appointed to come and tighten the grip of the presidency on the current system.

Over 30years into the third republic, isn’t it insulting to the dignity of the citizenry that we cannot be trusted to directly elect all the members and chief executives of the district assemblies? This is how the government foist and rewards their cronies. This is the epitome of the winner takes all system in place that bedevils our development. A majoritarian dictatorship, designed to smooth the whims of wannabe be dictators.

Scrap the committee. We should go straight to universal adult suffrage, and allow the people to elect their chief executives and all the membership of the district assemblies directly.

If you consider yourselves very knowledgeable and experienced enough to lead such discussions, why are you still struggling to be noticed, even by your local Assemblies..?? Because of social media and cheap phones, now every ordinary person can just get up and be criticizing people they can never get the opportunity to even polish their shoes. You boastful guys should learn to know where you belong in society and stop those constant and needless comments!

The number one legislation they should review is the Land Use and Spatial Planning Act, 925 (2016).i have alwayseld the view that LUSPA Act was legal l miscarriage. So it's refreshing to note that the IMCC will be looking at addressing the legal gaps in our Laws. I will surely link up with them to address the llacoona in the LUSPA Act.
