Why is the government/Telecos allowing vendors to register SIM cards? Registration should be done by authorized outlets of the Telecos. The employee id of any Telecos agent who does a sim registration should be associated with the registration to make it easier to trace agents who do illegal registration. This would deter unscrupulous agents from engaging in illegality. ID cards contain personal information which cannot just be seen by anyone. If vendors continue to register sims then problems like this one we are seeing would never go away. I hope Sam George has a plan.

The questions Ghana Police should be asking Dr. Bawumia, NPP and particularly, Ursula Owusu and co are:
1. How was Ghana -ID and SIM card registration accomplished to achieve the stated national goal of preventing fraud if SIM card tranfers do not carry notification to origal registered owners?
2. How is the SIM card registration authentication process able to link to the true identity of the SIM card or device owner if there is no 2-step verification process linking SIM card or device ownership to the National identity card system?
This is yet proof of the NPP and Dr. Bawumia causing fonancial harm to Ghana after spending $1+ billion on a system that is too porous to catch anything. Should the biometric features of the National ID not have flagged Rev Kusi Boateng and his dual ID's if there is no Ghana card was worth one toilet tissue?
