Mr President, those settlements are in the flood zone. They are not support to be there. They need to be moved out. All that was taken into consideration before the dam was built. When the reservoir exceeds it holding capacity water need to be spilled to prevent damaging the Dam. The area that got flooded during the last spillage was taken into consideration before the dam construction. People are not supposed to be building settlements there. Let’s not play POLITICS with a technical issue please

This threat is absolute nonsense and a clear abdication of his responsibility as head of state,what at all is wrong with this man’s sense of judgment? Is it VRA that settled those idiots where they are or their responsibility to remove them from there? It is the responsibility of the president and his government to remove these idiots from where they are and resettle in safer places,the state should use its coercive powers to do that because if the dam overflows the water shall be spilled no matter what.He should save them and his party’s votes instead of useless propagandists threats. Unlike him with his useless communication and history diplomas, these VRA staff are engineers with international marketability so he should bring his nonsense on and see whether any of them will spend a fortnight in Ghana.

Oh Mr. President .... Do you plan to sack him by any flimsy kind of issue, just because you want to replace him with one of your people? Then VRA boss; do well to control the rains from flooding the dam, make a wall between the village settlements and the dam, if there's a need for spillage get some pipes and direct the water to your house, lastly ,try raising a wall to prevent incoming water from the north of the dam.... My humble engineering suggestions.

Nkrumah factored all that in the cost of the project.
Why do they want to eat their cake and have it?
