Politicians are politicians and it is possible that some of the stolen money may have found its way into the pockets of other opposition politicians. However, that is not the substantive matter here. The substantive matter here is that the man diverted money meant for the acquisition of electronic surveillance equipment into his personal account and never bought those equipment. He stole the money. He also acquired, within a record time of about 7 years, 27 landed properties in both Ghana and in England. The source of that rapid accumulation of wealth is what Dr. Akwetey should be questioning.

Any audit approval? Any approval from controller and accountant general’s department? So, huge amount of money was channeled into a personal account and moved the same day that is the highest crime , also money laundering. Deal with the issues first before trying to talk about end game issues.
