I'm fed up with these stories because of the pain I also experience reading them. I have two sisters who are married to responsible men and they never experienced these kinds of humiliation because they heeded our parents advice to in the whole family anytime a man showed interest in them.

There were times we even prayed about prospective suitors and realised some of them were crooks. Like the case of a guy from one of our neighbouring countries who was using his handsomeness to make money from ladies and never made any effort to look for a job. My sister kept mentioning his name to her friends and doing background checks until one of the people in her network recognised the guy and he was exposed.

One of my female friends had the common sense to enquire about one of my male friends who kept his marriage to a woman at his hometown and was still going about proposing to ladies with heavy backsides.

Ladies, please please please, don't keep your relationships secret. Tell all your friends in church, at the workplace, wherever.

No woman should be taken advantage of in these times of social media. Just a simple "who knows this guy " should be okay.

As for me, if I know that a friend is married or a professional philanderer, I will let you know one time! But if you continue and the worst happens, I will tell you, I told you so.
