  I wish the hydrological experts will.work with urban roads as well as sanitation experts to desist the gutters especially the ones that have covers on them. The indiscriminate dumping of waste is another factor. Do we have new bridges that have been wrongly designed also a cause of the flooding. Another key issue is the design of some recent overheads that is causing flooding in some areas. Illegal structures should be identified and those who give the land out for this to be constructed should be held responsible.

  Very disgraceful and disappointing. These are people we call experts, experts in what? We are where we are because we use firefighting approach in solving our problems. We sit down for the problems to occur before we talk about what caused it. If the flooding was caused by illegal structures, whose duty is it to remove illegal structures and what has happened to those who put them up? This is not the first time Accra has flooded and surely it would not be the last. Even in 1960, some parts of Accra were flooded. The problem is not building on waterways, the problem is we don't think!
