The NDC he is purported to have founded doesn't belong to the Nkrumaist camp..The NDC informed the whole world that it doesn't belong to either the Busia or Nkrumaist camp. Those who call themselves as Nkrumaists in the NDC must bow their heads down in shame. They are traitors!!!. Nkrumah never used a coup to come to power like Rawlings who did so on two occassions.

Yes, Rawlings deserved to be recognized. He is an exceptional leader. Democracy that Ghan is enjoying is as result of Rawlings honesty, hard working, integrity and vision.

Rawlings brought democracy to Ghana? Is he not the one who used the gun to remove the democratically elected President Hilla Limann from power?. Rawlings used his big mouth to preach accountability but sold state assets to his wife. Unlike Nkrumah he ended up as a very rich person with properties into the bargain. His rule saw Ghanaians treated as animals- some even abducted and killed never to be seen again.His intention was to rule Ghana for years and years like Yoweri Museveni is doing in Uganda.

If the new government is for the ordinary folks of the country, honoring Rawlings with a street name is not the right thing to do. Rawlings came to power with good intention for the ordinary folk. He killed people and whipped women in their vagina to prove his mission, their crime being rich. However, after tasting power and riches, he joined the bandwagon and now his family is wallowing in riches. He does not deserve this honor bearing in mind the goals and aspirations of the Burkina government to bring about fairness and justice in the Burkina society. Rawlings came to power for himself and people should stop singing halleluja in his name.
