When granted bail, you are not expected to personally bring physical money to pay for it. The amount indicated is the one the surety would be made to pay in the event the suspect or the accused absconds. Again the 48 hours mantra is when the accused has not been granted bail. Once the accused is admitted to police enquiry bail, the 48 hour ultimatum as per the constitution ceases to apply. It will then depend on the suspect to meet that conditions

Where the suspect or accused is of the view that the bail conditions are onerous and that he cannot meet them, his only option is to go to court. Please let's get educated. As for the Minority, what they did yesterday was pure politics and we should bear with them

Well, I don’t blame people like you. When Akuffo-Addo came to power many people including my humble self insisted that he arrest John Cribo Mahama and his brother Ibrahim , especially after Ibrahim Mahama was fingered to have issued 22 dud checks among many others including his dealings with the Merchants Bank. But Akuffo-Addo disappointed many of us.

Wontumi himself if he remembers would testify to the fact that I started communicating with him, I told him to very careful about how the party and the administration was treating Mahama, his appointees and some media personnel who were seriously undermining the Akuffo-Addo administration with kids gloves. But after couple of conversations he stopped picking my calls and stopped replying my text messages altogether.

Now here we are! If he had listened to my advice and taken things seriously we wouldn’t be here talking about his bail bond problems. Next time this will serve as a lesson to Ghanaian politicians, especially the NPP. How was John Mahama allowed to walk free of charges after knowing so many scandals he was allegedly involved in? When we were talking to these NPP appointees they thought we probably out of our minds. But look at what is happening. Is John Mahama and his brothers saints who were supposed to be given such unfettered access to walk without accountability?

The worst is yet to come — from how I’m seeing things. But these things are supposed to happen to serve as a wake up call to NPP, who failed Ghanaians after JJ Rawlings and his P/NDC had persecuted the opposition for many but instead of making sure such atrocities doesn’t happen again, they instead became dazed with luxury and profligacies. Now over to you! I SHALL RETURN!
