Many of those youth protesting at EOCO complaining about Rambo style arrest are clearly the product of the failed free SHS that has become semi illiterate factories. Because of their low illiteracy skills and under developed mental faculty, they can be easily manipulated by politicians with catch phrases and slogans.

Many of the npp MPs protesting are lawyers themselves but they have not been able to articulate exactly which law has EOCO breached. They throw general words such as human right violations, Rambo style arrest but unable to provide particulars that is deemed in violation of the accused human right. You don't have to be a lawyer to know that you should go to the High Court when you allege that your human rights has been violated.

Perhaps it's because of our youths illiteracy or perhaps some of them are just there to collect their 1300gh participation fees. Regardless of their motives, it is sad to see these people are qualified voters in our country and their vote weighs as much as the rest of the population with common sense. Perhaps this is why democracy struggles to function well in this part of the world.

The root cause seems to bethe lack of focus of our family on the education and well being of our children. So many families will spend their little income on alcohol, betting, girl friends, funeral contributions rather than on their childrens education. We think education is the government responsibility. As a result we have so many youth that has no employable skills and lack even basic English skills. How do we expect these youth to exercise their discernment and vote for the right candidate?

Asian countries are able to develop rapidly mostly because their family value focus on their childrens. The children is their first and outmost priority. Most families spent over 70% of their family resources on their children and they don't have large number of children to dilute their resources allocation. East Asians usually rank among the top students in all the top universities in the word.

The majority of our population is under 25 years old. Looking at the quality of our youth now, there is much to be done to prevent our democracy from collapsing.
