Establishing two more universities is not a prudent measure. There are too many universities in the country with no jobs for people who come out of these universities. The money to establish these two could be used to expand existing ones with more departments that will equip graduates to be more useful and resourceful to the country's need. This is just a political move rather than some measure that is borne out of necessity.

What's the meaning of building new universities in Ghana? Do we lack universities in Ghana? Apart from public universities, there are uncountable private universities so which are mostly owned by individuals and churches. Every year these universities graduate thousands of professionals to seek for none exist jobs. What Ghana needs is creation of jobs but not new universities. JDM please think of job creation and construct basic school buildings to eliminate schools under trees. Pupils are lying on their bellies, sitting on concrete blocks, children carry kitchen stools to and fro school and you're thinking of new universities, for what? How much does it cost to construct a basic classroom with furniture as compared to a new university? In fact, our leaders, the least said about them the better. They are wise only when they are in opposition. In opposition JDM told npp government that he would have used money being used for free SHS to provide infrastructures but not on free SHS. Now he's back in power and said he will continue free SHS and even extend it to private SHS. Wow, these our politicians they have two tongues and JDM himself said it in his campaign messages that you say what will give you votes to win power whether it's doable or not.
