We hope this Board will be more responsible, just as expected of the Director General and the management team of SSNIT.
The previous Board and the Management used SSNIT as vehicle for their parochial and wicked enterprises. Any wonder Pensioners plight have been worsened by their weird so called indexation format which had no relevance in the actual value of the expected pension adjustments. How do you talk about indexation without taking cognisance of the dollar if not for the sake of platitudes.
Consistently, the previous Ssnit regime had never on any occasion of salary adjustments to the main stream public sector equal the percentage changes for Ssnit Pensioners but sadly noted to be far far below.
The leadership of the TUC, CLOSSAC and other allied groups must be blamed for not making the necessary interventions. They perhaps seemed to have forgotten the regularly imposed dues which were faithfully honoured when these Pensioners were in active service close to 40 years in some instances.
The conclusion was not far fetched when the current head of CLOSSAC, Issac Bampoe Addo, retorted his disgraceful disagreement when the NDC in their 2020 Manifesto proposed to implement a 13 month pension payment if they won the elections.
President Mahama and the Ndc, Pensioners have not forgotten your 2020 Manifesto pledge of 13th month pension payments. Still waiting, President Mahama and the Ndc.
This current Ssnit authority must not bamboozle Pensioners with so called indexation like the past predecessors disrespectfully treated Pensioners.
Gone were the days when Ssnit membership seemingly been those at lower ladder.
