This has been going on for decades without ending. Always University lecturers will go on strike to ask for research and book allowances. It is a shame. Elsewhere University lecturers write for grants to conduct research. That brings out the best in them and those who cannot write or are lazy to write dont get anything. Here every lecturer wants to receive allowance even though they didnt work for it. How many of them actually use those allowances to conduct research?. Some use the money to buy cement to complete thier one bedroom apartments. It is complete nonsense.
