Because of corruption and the illegality in the DC embassy, I had to recalled my passport from the rotten DC embassy in 2019 after a long delay without renewal. Who even told this illegal immigrant that you cannot take radical measures to stop wrong doing? Did anyone died after the temporary closure of the embassy? Who are you to say that Ablakwa erred in calling the Embassy staff home? When did this "Ekurasie girl" go to America to know that Embassy staff were doing their work with diligence? From Paga through Accra to Keta/Anloga, Washington to Australia, we need a reset in running of our embassies and that's exactly what has begun.

Recently, a British passport was submitted for visa in London and within 4 days the "kpali" was posted back with the visa in it, ready for travel. Before Ablakwa's shake up, the passport would have been at the Embassy for 2 - 3 weeks, doing what? People working there don't care, idle on the job, all they expect applicants to do is to see them behind closed doors for everything they need from the Embassy.

Vim lady or whatever you call yourself, shut the up and better start learning something from your new host country and appreciate change in the stupid system you left behind.

She obviously does not understand the meaning of corruption or conflict of interest. Does signing an agreement legitimise an act of corruption? Is a public officer allowed to profit from their positions? The level of stupidity and hypocrisy coming out from her mouth is so typical of the NPP these days.

With her corrupt mindset, she does not see anything wrong for a embassy staff to establish his own private company and charge extra fees for processing visa which is the job that they are supposed to do and pay by the government!

This useless mindset that we are required to pay extra for the government employees to do their official duties has to change. This is happening everywhere especially in institutions such as the Lands Commission, Passport Office etc. they will often charge you many times above the official fees.

I hope this government does not only prosecute the past government appointees but sanitize all the public institutions in Ghana including the Lands Commission, Police, Ports Authority etc.

The protocol payment for public jobs has to stop. The price for most of the jobs has gone up to around 30k GHS. It's ridiculous that the selection is not based on merits anymore but who can afford to pay 30GHS or who has the connections. Do you think these people after getting the job will work diligently and not be thinking about how to recoup their bribe or profit from their positions?

Take for instance, a group of tourists preparing to visit Ghana next week, have had the visa applications stalled at the embassy now! There’s no hope their passports and visa would be returned anytime soon! Ablakwa acted childish.

Two months ago, I tried to apply my sons Ghana visa online and was told to go to Aldgate east in London for expedite visa. I went to the visa contractor's building and was told i will get the single entey visa in three days for £160. Meanwhile, the Ghana embassy website charges £50 for the same single entry visa. If this is not corruption then come again Akua Pokua. Morever, Ghanaians are turned away in their at the embassy in Highgate hills. If Ghanaian citizens cannot access their own embassy for services then we have a problem as a nation.

He acted in his capacity as the minister after his own investigation and does not need to seek any approval of his actions from the President. Ghanaians in the US know the rot that has been ongoing at the Washington and New York embassies and his actions would sanitize the activities that go on at these two places .Vim Lady should just keep quiet and let Ablakwa do his job .
