Some states in the US have the death penalty but crimes in the US are unbelievable. Was it yesterday, a man dressed like a police officer, entered a couple home in Minnesota, and shot them to death. Though he has been arrested, if he was put to death, will that deter another human who is determined to kill like that?

By the way, how many people were killed in Ghana through the death penalty?

Pericles are you saying death sentences don't deter.The fear of being killed or jailed stops murders and crimes from escalating. Remove punishments for crimes and the world will be a jungle to live in.

Every human society on earth must retain and practice the death penalty because some of us are not true humans.
For example, in Ghana, any public official who loot and or steals cash and other valuable properties and ship or transfer the stolen cash or property abroad, especially, to The White Man`s land, must face the death penalty.
If one kills another without any justifiable cause, he/she must be killed also.
We practically need the sentence of death penalty in Ghana urgently.
