Who told you a Ghanaian doesn’t need a Ghanaian visa to travel to Ghana? Before the Ghanacard came into existence every Ghanaian descent or naturalized Ghanaian outside of Ghana needed a Ghanaian visa back and fro Ghana. Do you know how many times I was delayed by the Ghanaian immigration authorities because I had overstayed the 90 days stay the Ghanaian immigration services issued to me? You have to go to the immigration to extend your visa stay every 90 days or further. We have had that system without any qualms for generations, so where from this new blunder?

Just that the NDC is grossly incompetent, that’s all! They make noise as if they can do the job, but then when given the opportunity they blow everything up. NDC people now label the former NPP government appointees as thieves because the Akuffo-Addo administration treated the NDC thieves with kids gloves. NDCFUO AKROMFUO!

NOW SHE NEEDS TO GO TO HER GM's funeral in Jamaica, but her passport is stuck at the GH Embassy.

Even if you complete your application online it still useless because what they make you go through when you visit the embassy makes the whole process exceedingly complicated and redundant. 3. Why can’t they issue visas on the same day or at least electronically like other countries such as Ethiopia does? 4. We are too bureaucratic and enjoy worshipping…in simple language, nkurasefuor. The problem the embassy is having is the same problem most of you guys are having. The problem is critical thinking.
Now for all those who failed to read and understand, let me break it down to you. The lady applied for a VISA, to visit Ghana. While waiting for her visa and passport to be returned to her. Her grandmother died back in JAMAICA. So she now needs to go back HOME to JAMAICA and bury her grandmother, BUT she can't because her passport is at the EMBASSY and she's not getting any help. Now she's frustrated because the delay is preventing her from traveling even though she paid extra for express service. Now she goes on the say she could have traveled to GHANA visa free because JAMAICANS are able to do so for 90 days, but her JAMAICAN passport had expired hence she applied for a GHANA visa with her AMERICAN passport in the first place, that's now being held up. I used to visit the embassy and get my visa. Some years back they started this online application. It took my dad a week and still couldn't even submit a payment. The system seems to crash, on when you upload your picture you won't be able to go back and continue with the application. We call several times for help but nothing. Also for 4 passports showed up in the mail. Getting a hold of, or talking to someone was a problem. After 6 days we decided to just drive and deliver the passport to the embassy. The boss was very thankful, but some workers behaved as if we've stolen something. I personally do visa on arrival. It costs 200 dollars for a single entry but I rather go that route knowing that my passport is with me all the time. So the PROBLEM is GHANAIANS. Just look at how people are passing judgment without even reading and understanding the simple issue. Some even calling her ungrateful and more just because she's JAMAICAN. This nation is one vested in one front. Tribalism, ethnicity and political mind set is destroying the nation. This issue is not only affecting the DC office. It's everywhere there's a GHANA EMBASSY. or GHANAIANS working. Also the minister said it was the USPS. And then mentioned a scanning issue that happened on the 6 and 9th. So what about the PNDC time? The .NPP time? And now the NDC as well?. As I said. It's always political, tribal or ethnicity. Just blame it on the JAMAICAN because GHANAIANS make no mistakes, and if it happens, it's someone else's fault. Since 6th March 1957.

That lady might have sent her passport for a Ghanaian visa and it has delayed in the Embassy that’s the reason why. In Abroad you don’t have to go to the embassy to get a visa you apply for the Ghanaian visa online and then you post your passport to the embassy, They will issue the visa and post your passport back to you it’s doesn’t take long just some few working days then you receive it in your post. It becomes of the incompetence Ablakwa who closed the embassy for some time has caused all these delays. Americans have about 52 states and there’s only two Ghanaian embassy in America Washington and New York so you can imagine the number of applications per a day is not a easy, Ablakwa should have been sacked straight away if it was abroad, you can’t closed embassy if there’s no war in that country to put the embassy staffs in danger that was very stupid. He has no idea about the consequences of doing that because he’s a village boy so he doesn’t understand how things work on foreign land.if someone has committed a crime in the embassy just sack the person and replace him just like any other company or institution you don’t closed the whole embassy what a Wanka.

From the hospitals, to the schools, to the churches, dvla, ecg, mosques, even the mogs the airport, Tema port, the shipping lines, ghana customs, ghana police, etc. This is very bad. Let us stick together and fight thus evil corrupt people from our society.

As I have been saying we need a whistle blowers app and platform to report anonymously any bad thing in our society and government should force all public and private officers and workers to always wear their name tags and service numbers visibly at post.
