That can't be true when the government has a policy of deporting these Chinese galamsey criminals instead of ensuring that they serve prison time in Ghana and then get deported upon completion of their prison sentences. Aisha Huang was arrested by the previous government and deported instead of having to be tried and serve prison time in Ghana. Within months, Aisha Huang was back in Ghana plying her galamsey trade. If this government really means business in fighting galamsey, then it must change its current policy and start prosecuting these evil Chinese galamsey bastards and making sure that the ones who are convicted are made to serve their prison sentences in Ghana prisons before being deported.

Some of these seized equipment may get lost while being transported. I am speaking from an experience when I was with the military in Kumasi. Even some of the excavators got lost from the 4bn square. Government should order instant setting ablaze of these machines. Look at the disrespectful manner in which the Chinese ambassador spoke the other day. Kudos madam Hon please burn the machines. Please, she should stay in the office and ensure that funds are released for the various agencies to perform their mandates. The security should be resourced well enough to combat the illegal mining. Just moving from Accra to a site with the security and the media to show off is not the way to combat illegal mining.
