  Kusasis are about 3 to 4 times the population of Mamprusi. Sadly, because the Kusasis were an acephalous tribe, the British nevertheless put them under the Mamprusis for the indirect rule system.
  Now, having enjoyed the benefits of ruling over the Kusasis, courtesy the British, the Mamprusis don’t want to let go even nearly 70 years after the British themselves agreed to hand over to we Ghanaians to rule ourselves - they packed bag and baggage and left for the uk. Yet, in 2025, the Mamprusis think the British are still around governing through indirect rule.
