The average farmer is over 60, poor and illiterate. And just go and see the conditions in which they live. Which cocoa farmer’s child wants to be a farmer? Ofosu Ampofo and other looters should loot big because cocoa days are numbered. And galamsey will put the final nail on the coffin.
If Cocobod knows what is good for its future, they should start their own plantations. Then they would quickly learn that their fat salaries, allowances, luxury vehicles and accommodations are unsustainable! Isn’t it ridiculous that while cocoa farmers wallow in poverty in old age, Cocobod retirees enjoy all manner of perks?
