  Nkrumah caused his own overthrow. He became a Dictator. How could he make Ghana a One Party State and declare himself President for Life. People who did not agree with his system of government were quarantined at his Nsawam Prison Concentration Camp. These included people who made him to become who he became. He was just a horrible and monstrous Dictator.
  How many things and institutions should be named after Nkrumah. Those advocating for Institutions and places to be named after Nkrumah can go ahead and name their parents after him. Nkrumah achieved something for Ghana but some people are just exaggerating. Did the British Government leave Ghana coffers empty as he did before he was booted out from office? As at 1964, no Western Country was prepared to loan money to Ghana because he was foolishly, stupidly, lavishly, and arbitrarily wasting Ghana’s wealth in his over ambitious programs like OAU. How much did he give to Guinea after its independence? What about Zimbabwe,, South Africa and many African countries that were struggling to gain independence from Colonial rule. Nkrumah ruined Ghana’s economy and made her bankrupt.

  Dr Kwame Nkrumah also did so much for the north as well interms of education:
  Ghana College, Tamale, Government secondary school, Tamale, Bawku, Yendi, Lawra, Wa, Nalerigu Damongo secondary schools etc.. You are right Kwame Nkrumah was a visionary leader. He did all this in less than 9years.
  What a big loss he has been to the nation!!! His compulsory policy of education for all children gave some of us especially from the north the opportunity to go to school. Otherwise my father had no clue about education and didn’t see the need for his children to go to school.
  
  May GOD ALMIGHTY give him wisdom , anchor and victory to be able to do this again with sustained efforts.
  Don't forget Acherensua Secondary School (Achisco) which was the only secondary school in Ahafo until 1970 when Busia converted Hwidiem and Mim Training Colleges to secondary schools. And other schools like Yaa Asantewah Secondary School, Konongo Odumasi Secondary School, and many more. You can easily identify the schools by the similar buildings, which were constructed under the Education Trust Fund. Nkrumah was selfless, and a visioneer. Up to the present, nobody has come out to accuse him of corruption or kalabule. He left no mansion or assets. Akuffo Addo family and the Akyem traitors are thieves, and with fake British vocal accents.

  Dr Kwame Nkrumah also did so much for the north as well interms of education:
  Ghana College, Tamale, Government secondary school, Tamale, Bawku, Yendi, Lawra, Wa, Nalerigu Damongo secondary schools etc.. You are right Kwame Nkrumah was a visionary leader. He did all this in less than 9years.
  What a big loss he has been to the nation!!! His compulsory policy of education for all children gave some of us especially from the north the opportunity to go to school. Otherwise my father had no clue about education and didn’t see the need for his children to go to school.
  
  May GOD ALMIGHTY give him wisdom , anchor and victory to be able to do this again with sustained efforts.
  Don't forget Acherensua Secondary School (Achisco) which was the only secondary school in Ahafo until 1970 when Busia converted Hwidiem and Mim Training Colleges to secondary schools. And other schools like Yaa Asantewah Secondary School, Konongo Odumasi Secondary School, and many more. You can easily identify the schools by the similar buildings, which were constructed under the Education Trust Fund. Nkrumah was selfless, and a visioneer. Up to the present, nobody has come out to accuse him of corruption or kalabule. He left no mansion or assets. Akuffo Addo family and the Akyem traitors are thieves, and with fake British vocal accents.

  People may not like the name Kotoka International Airport. However, it is very important for proper history to be told about events leading to the overthrow of Osagyefo Kwame Nkrumah. By 1966, Ghana was a one party state. There was no distinction between the CPP and the government. Ghanaians did not have the choice of voting for another political party. Nkrumah was a dictator. He had put his face on the cedi and coins. The CPP was placing citizens in prisons without trial on flimsy excuses. There were severe human rights violations. The right to join associations was proscribed. The Young Pioneer Movement became a vehicle where children reported their families as anti Nkrumah. Today, I am over 70. However, I went through hell as a child because my mother went into exile as a staunched UP member. I only saw my mother after the 1966 overthrow of Dr Kwame Nkrumah. Nepotism was rife. The first low cost houses built at Osu near the castle were allocated only to CPP members who were of Nzimaa stock. So, the name Kotoka stands a reminder to all Ghanaians that never again must we allow the fundamental human right of the freedom of choice be taken away from Ghanaians. If anything at all the airport must be renamed Accra International Airport to keep politics out of naming of monuments in the city.
