  GHC 462 million for just six months, can you imagine how many of the agenda 111 hospitals this money can build? Mahama took a bold decision to cancel this nuisance allowance but because of cheap politicking some people decided that spending this money on trainees who waste on prostitutes and wigs was a wise decision and reinstated it.

  We don't have a national development agenda so politicians do whatever can keep them in power. What thinking went into the cancellation of the allowance by the previous Mahama government? Why would government pay allowances to nurses who abscond to seek greener pastures abroad? It's about time Ghana government handle nurses leaving Ghana the same way footballers are handled.

  Mr. President, repeal and replace the trainee nurses and trainee teachers allowance. A country that borrows money from the west and give it away freely is doomed to fail. We have been doing this since 1992 all in the name of power. I believe that every Ghanaian should eat what they kill period. Personally, I will not go the bank and borrow money and give it away. Even America with their vast wealth don't give freebies to trainee nurses. Is either you get a student loan payable after schooling or you try your hands on a profession one can afford.
