Yamoussoukro in Ivory Coast has the second largest Cathedral in the world built by Felix Houphouët-Boigny which no one practically visits. It's seen by young Ivorians as a waste of money.

It beats imagination that Akufo-Addo sincerely believed people would leave elsewhere to visit a Cathedral in Accra which itself requires development.

Too bad Ghanaians bought the religious deception of Akufo-Addo and his platoon of quack pastors serving as background singers. Time to move away from this fiasco and embark on something totally different that has no religious overtones. Ghana can't blindly emulate Western hemisphere practices when it doesn't have the resources to carry out such unnecessary projects.
