This ghost names clean up was started by Ex-president Kuffour in 2001 and successive governments have done same till JDM gov't. Ato Forson shouldn't behave as if he's doing something extraordinary and he can't stop it happening. Day in day out, workers in public sector are moving out of the country to seek green pastures elsewhere and that creates ghost names. Again, those workers who leave the shores of Ghana don't follow due process by giving stipulated one month notice to resign. Too many of them vacate their posts and by so doing, ghost names aren't avoidable in public sector payrolls. If every public sector worker going abroad resign and give one month notice beforehand, then ghost names issue will reduce drastically but the worker doesn't care about what happens behind as far as his or her salary is concerned. Vacation of post won't stop today neither tomorrow so no gov't can stop ghost names either until travelling abroad is ceased.
