Yes, we need to learn our history ( his -story) to make sure that history doesn't repeat but more importantly the UK needs to pay us reparations for us to rebuild. Yes, if someone sold you a slave and you dehumanized him, tortured, striped him of ALL of his human dignity, erased the world he knew, killed him and his descendants, sold his descendants for profit, used them to build generational wealth, used them to build the infrastructure in their nation then it is time for them to pay up!

The Bond of 1844 was not signed by only Fanti chiefs,there were the Denkyiras and Assins chiefs as well.
There's one thing we forget to talk about concerning the time limit.
Governor George Maclean started the negotiation with different chiefs even including the Asantes and the Nzemas before the arrival of Governor Hills in 1843.Some chiefs hold the view that Bond of 1844 is a 100 years agreement,susceptible for renewal.
Perhaps Governor Hills took a different approach when he took over from George Maclean.
I heard that Kwame Nkrumah made reference to the failure of the British to seek renewal which was due on the 6th March 1944 to press home the demand for independence immediately.
I would like to know if there was any breach of contract.Tnx.
