Now everything is expensive to b this country, dollar gas declined yet the ordinary Ghanaian farmer has felt next to nothing about the decline. Cost of labour and inputs have increased. This year no inputs were given to farmers and the government wants us to clap for them for this price increment? God save Ghana. What will convince cocoa farmers from trading their farm to illegal miners for payment they feel compensate for their toil?

Some of you just write without understanding issues. Cocoa is priced in dollars in the international market and not in cedis. Convert the current dollar of cocoa by the exchange rate of last year and see the Cedi value.

A stable and reduced dollar rate should tell you that the Cedi value of today cannot be matched to the Gh 6000 or Gh 7000 promised as at last year.

By the way, why so much interest in a weaker Cedi so some few people can bring dollars and make more money while the majority suffer?
