  Don't confuse price per tonne with price per bag. The old price was 3100 cedis per bag of 64kg; the new is 3228 cedis per bag, less than 5% increase.

  The story and it's headline are both misleading and inaccurate. The quote from the minister is right but the interpretation is wrong.
  Last year Cocobod didn't go for syndicated load, we used the 60/40 financing approach.ie. Where the buyers pay 60% of the price then we deliver the cocoa then they pay the remain 40%.
  This is the financing method the minister is referring to but not the syndicated loan.
  Seek understanding and clarification next time.
