The easiest armed forces to get into is the United States armed Forces. They're always recruiting. In fact visa lottery winners are encouraged to fill a recruitment form even before they're granted immigrant visas to travel to the States to start their new lives. The UK recruits from Commonwealth countries as well.

They're given drugs to become ruthless and remorseless and those who survived usually come back with mental disorders like PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). I'm writing from experience with numerous examples that I can't spill here. My advise to the African youth is - STAY AWAY FROM THESE US, UK AND OTHER FOREIGN ARMIES. THEY'RE NO GOOD! THEY DON'T MEAN WELL.

However, he was accepted in the USA Air Force not as an officer candidate, but an enlisted soldier. Had he applied for in the Ghana Army as an enlisted candidate, he definitely would have been accepted. He missed out on becoming an officer in the Ghana Army, and ended up as a private in the USA Air Force.

Students with aggregate 10-14 who have the desire to read medicine have been denied admission because some universities in Ghana insist on single number grades(6-9). These same students go outside the country to read same medicine with same grades only to come back, and staff of the very universities who refused them admissions visit hospitals when they fall sick to meet these doctors there. In fact some are the patients of the doctors they once rejected. I wish that anytime there is an training program for the Ghana air force to be handled by the US air force, this rejected Ghanaian should be part of the team to come and train the Ghana air force.

I remember some years ago when my French teacher was disqualified from pursuing his doctorate in any university in Ghana because he obtained a 3rd class at the first degree. He got the opportunity to go to France for a language proficiency course. He didn't return after one year but enrolled at a University for his doctorate, which he earned without difficulty. I later learnt that when he returned to Ghana, no university recognised his doctorate in French and would not allow him to lecture. The country whose language we are struggling with in Ghana has awarded this teacher a doctorate in their mother tongue, but we say he is not qualified??

At 17 he had passed his O'Levels with aggregate 18; passed his A Levels in Physics, Maths and Geography at just 23 and at the time (1992), he studied computing and goy Diplomas then applied for the Ghana Army. He was told that "you are too over qualified so when we recruit you, you will come and take our jobs". What a country we live in. And how are we ever going to develop???????? No winder galamsey has taken over and it will soon be a disaster and wipe out many innocent people. In USA, they recruit talent. I hope Ghana will learn and give young talents the opportunity to serve and excel
