Remittances have dropped because people are not satisfied with the prevailing exchange rate which leads to at least 30% loss of cedis to the sender and receiver.
Foolish man, we are not sendingany money. We have abandoned all our projects in Ghana. When we invest abroad, we get better yield. Foolish man who is artificially controlling the exchange rate of allowing the market forces t ...

Na lie, you have no project here in Ghana to abandon. Depreciation of the cedi goes with inflation, if you don't know. You want us to carry money in sacks, to buy a loaf of bread?
With the present exchange rate, we rather kerp Our Dollar and Euro under Our pillow

THE GHANA BANKSTERS RIP OFF PEOPLE THAT GET MONEY FROM OVERSEAS SO THE REMITTANCE DROPPING PEOPLE FINDS OTHER WAYS TO GIVE DOLLARS TO THEIR RELATIVE INSTEAD OF REGULAR REMITTANCE TO DISHONEST CRIMINAL BANKS
MR.ASIAMAH THE GOV. OF BOG. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG. WE ARE NOT SENDING MORE AS WE USED TO BECAUSE OF THE MASSIVE DEPRECIATION. THE INTER -BANK RATE AND THE FOREAUX IS HUGE.
Not much is passing through your system because the difference between your bank rate and that of "ABOCHI"
is huge.So stop the propaganda rate and see if the Remittance would not increase
The artificial appreciation of the Cedi is the main reason why remittances have declined. It’s just common sense. You want your numbers to look good for political expediency and folks in the diaspora want to invest WISELY. ...

Am advising all people in the diaspora to stop sending money to ghana.
How I wished, but we have to buy the medicines which is still expensive, even when the dollar to ghs has reduced by 42%
Reduced as much as possible, already! Gov is ripping us, the senders off! Ripping off cocoa farmers, and by Friday everyone, due to transport costs increase. This government is a disaster already!
Ghanaians don't need support from remittance. They are happy with their economic situation presently. Thanks to low inflation rate, cheap / low prices of commodities. Remittances not needed.
If remittances not needed, why Dr asiamah is yelling?
Do you understand what the governor is saying, I hope not.
Cheap? Low inflation? Must be a joke! Prices have increased, since May, dramatically! Electricity, now increase in transportation. A small tin sardines 12-13 cedis, water price increase etc. What planet are you living?
This man paaaa! Since February 2025 I have remitted any money to Ghana. Borgas heard Ghanaian saying Aban papa aba so now I ask people in Ghana for money! After the propaganda comes the consequences

Good job . Smart consumers . This government is bereft with ideas and competent people with foresight to predict the basic economic theory of demand and supply.

Sir please, we will not bring our hard earned dollars to Ghana for a low exchange rate, and then buy a bag of cement for 130ghana cedis for our projects... please fix the mess you have created. Thank you.

I wonder why diasporan NDC supporters have not increased their remittances to offset the equation.
NDC supporters are slow learners but they are catching up. They are also realising the mess that has created. Sending their $s is not option on the table now.
