I side with Lawyer Akuffo in respect of the constitutional constraints which do no allow the CJ to resign once the committee to investigate her has been set up. However, l disagree with the submissions that resigning will mean conceding or admitting that the allegation made against the CJ are true. There are many persons who simply walk away when one tries to impugn their integrity in respect of their works. It is no admission of what is said. It is to simply say that life does not end when he/she leaves that position.

It is here in Ghana thst we think positions are thrones or birthright. Just look at the humiliation that the CJ is going through with all her moves at the court's. Are they worth it? And the $10million compensation at the Evowas Court. Come on. That is the lowest of the low

Her human right violations, the law forming the committee , the venue of the committee, the members of the committee, the same charge sheets as committee, family members to be allow to join her at the committee, etc are all technicalities and not the fact of the matter. Five times CJ or her sympathisers have gone to the Supreme court and failed, the high court and failed, to West African court and later to African court I heard, why why why. If you can not win your case at your own colleagues court, where else can you. To even make it public that, she is the niece of Major Sackey ( Kwame Nkrumah's 'Judas') the man who sold Nkrumah to CIA has made it worse for me. Now I even hate her more !

There are other ways of winning too , a judgement given by the judge which doesn’t necessarily mean the truth. This CJ knows what she’s doing. I am afraid she is not reading things properly. To err is human. The fact is that people pretend that they are not guilty of any misconduct, when they are invited to disciplinary committee.
I sat on four disciplinary committee and in the four cases two of the people who were involved in the misconduct first statement were that they misconducted themselves.
In the four instances, the people who accepted their acts as a misconduct were given lesser punishment than those who want to argue their position.
Some of them are still in employment or continue to serve the various companies until they went on retirement.
To err is human. Wronging a fellow human being is a negative human behaviour.
So in all cases, one must just say mi culpa.
I am guilty, and to err is human.
