Yes, the Bible, specifically Hebrews 9:27, states that it is appointed for men to die once. This verse is often interpreted to mean that humans have one physical death and then face judgment. The passage also notes that after death comes judgment.

I wish and wonder if this nice gentleman has prepared 4 the next stage of life, as most humans don`t care in place of material things in the world...Hmmm!

There are times when the manner in which we handle the issue of the dead creates emotional and health problems for the bereaved.
A fellow worker lost his brother some years ago. He reported for work and told us that he was going to the hospital in which his elder brother dead and take the body to the mortuary.
I felt that something was not proper with my co-worker, so my first question to him before I offer my condolences was if he has taken his breakfast.
He answered in the negative. I told his daughter who was with him to get him something to eat. The brother in tears told me that its an Akan custom that the bereaved should not eat.
I told her that let's take care of the living before we put the dead in the mortuary. She asked her father if he was hungry and he said no.
But my stubbornness took the better part of me and I told my co-worker in a hash statement if he want to be buried together with the brother.
I told him that if he will not eat, then that means he has decided to join his brother, but I am not ready for this funeral.
But he decided not to eat and went to the hospital to take the corpse of his elder brother to the mortuary.
At 4 o'clock in the afternoon of the day we were informed that our co-worker has passed on.
His elder son came the day after that to inform us about the death of his father. My curiosity took the better part of me and I asked the son of my colleague if he has eaten and the girlfriend said according to Akan custom relatives don't eat when one of them pass on.
I gave her money, instructed her to buy soft drink and bread for the boyfriend, detained the man in my office, the items were brought, he ate and drunk them before going to the hospital to take his father to the mortuary.
I am not happy about the haste in which the mother of Omane Boamah was brought to Accra. The government should have waited till today to inform her about the death of his son, in case she did not get the sad news from the public and any relative.
But courtesy demands that they should have send someone, incase if she has received the bad news, but if not just to pay her a visit and say that he was passing by and since he or she and Omane Boamah are friends want to say hello.
