The accident happened a day after announcing cocoa price and the helicopter landed on a cocoa farm. The remains of the deceased were conveyed in cocoa sacks (instead of body bags) carried on the heads of cocoa farmers i(nstead of the police) to the nearest hearse.

  My uncle took his car to a dearlership, authorised dearler oooh . The car came to him with same faults but big bill and neat valeting of interior....we were furious...
  
  I work and have a garage in Germany, so I decided to investigate.....massa all the parts came from abosokai and.was either used part or fake....
  
  Nobody check nobody in Ghana....broken system.....I believe air travels especially copters are not safe in Ghana. ....except the mining companies that would ofcourse fly in expert committed, and well discipline technicians with the right and well standardized spare parts....to maintain the helicopter..
  
  I spoke to a friend in Ghana and he showed me evidence of his wife buying a brand new car from a dearlership who touted it as assembled in Ghana but my friend confirmed it was a used car disguised into the country as semi knock down...
  
  Look I won't board and airforce plane, simple the parts can even be after market or replica....it's a third world country the people can be in need of money and do all.sorts of things....

  On 7th August, 1982 2 Aermaachis MB 326 belonging to the GAF crashed in Kumasi killing Sqn Ldr Bannerman and Flt Lt Abukari.
  There is also the Daboasi crash of the GAF in early 70's

  You are right Abiola. The Kumasi accident involving the two fighter jets happened at Wesley College. The Daboase accident happened in May 1970. The aircraft was piloted by Capt. Charles Yuri and it was on its way to Kumasi from Takoradi. All seven soldiers on board perished and it took the army and local hunters 5 days to reach the wreckage in dense forest. All 7 servicemen were buried at the military cemetery near the air force base in Takoradi .

I remember one of the pilots was Bannerman, a brother of Kari Bannerman ,the base guitarist for Osibisa that time
