This is a straight lie! No pilot in the face of a looming danger will tell passengers he could do nothing about it. Pilots are trained to manage passengers anxiety such that in such situations, they will rather keep quite than say there was nothing he could do about it. The situation may not have been so hopeless as this lady is trying to portray that was why the pilot fought to normalize it (of course with the help of God). There have been several situations where planes have lost both engines or the functioning of an important instrument mid-air (example the miracle on the Hudson in 2009) yet the pilots and crew were calm enough not to throw passengers into a panic mode.

When I hear some christians talk like that I ask myself what kind of christians are they cos if you take refuge in Jesus and you are under his banner, who or what's in the spiritual realm ? What's in the saying which says, what's in me is greater than what's in the world? And do you think if you are a christian accident or disaster can't happen to you ? Thank God that the instances were averted in your cases but not necessarily your prayers.

In the Indian flight that crashed, everyone perished and no one thought someone will survive but there was a survivor whose time had not arrived for him to exit. Likewise, the president was not destined to pass away with the others that is why he did not go and others were pulled to go even though they never knew about the event and did not plan to go to Obuasi previously. This lady is exaggerating her case. Pilots are trained not to let passengers know the situation is hopeless and they are all going to die. Air hostesses are all trained to calm passengers and do not show fear so as not to caused a situation that can even cause a plan to crash like all passengers moving to one side! A pilot will only say they are experiencing some turbulence so all should remain calm. They won't say the situation is hopeless. There was extreme turbulence caused by weather conditions and they flew through it. I've flown several times and this happens.
