Ghana has facilities to test for normal DNA analysis but those facilities cannot do DNA tests for charred or burnt bodies...that's why the helicopter crash victims burnt bodies were taken to South Africa where they have such capabilities.

He told his dead friend that he could use his connections to provide people jobs with the police/military--at a fee. Considering a country with high unemployment like Ghana, his dead friend believed it and collected the fees from his friends and own relatives. When the jobs didn't materialize, his relatives and friends put pressure on him to recoup their money. Mr. Aweh killed his friends so he wont have to pay it back.
