Mr Kelewele the Naa they are saying is a short form of Nana. In most Asante homes people call their grandmothers Naa. For rxsmle Naa Adwoa instead e Adwoa. Naa Yaa for Nana Yaa. This prevails amongst Asantes

The process commenced before 1935. Various Asante paramountcies had to write to rejoin or leave. That's how Kwahu and others formally withdrew from the Confederacy.

That said, I have read the memoirs of Mr Harper, whose name is on Harper Road , Adum, Kumasi, He was the colonial administrator during the 1920s.
