We are still a third world, seriously lagging behind in development. She is a professor, or assistant professor, in the USA but not Ghana so she should justify being called professor...really? All your publications in Ghana, from your 'UNIVERSITIES' have no effect in transforming Ghana. Don't we depend on the findings from places like universities in the U.S. where the honorable is coming from to make decisions? Information like "Kenkey gives cancer..." Nonsense! Or, do you want to say, if one is a Mrs. in U. S. because she was married there she seizes to be Mrs. in Ghana, even with evidence, till she is married in Ghana? Stop this nonsense! GTEC, grow up! The lady is deceiving Ghanaians into thinking that she’s a full professor and that’s the issue at stake. She worked at the University of Utah as an Adjunct Professor which is a part time instructor position. It doesn’t carry with it any expectations for research and publication. She isn’t a professor by any stretch of imagination. She knows deep in her heart that she hasn’t attained the rank of a full professor but presenting fake credentials to Ghanaians because she thinks most people in ghana cannot see through her fake credentials. All well meaning Ghanaians must rally behind the GTEC to sanitize the system. This lady is fighting a losing battle! She can never win because the truth isn’t on her side!

I do not know what area of studies Jinapor claims his professorship from but if he wants something productive and useful to do, I advise that he should apply to any of the institutions that have been set up to fight the galamsey menace. From my checks, it is usual in some countries for adjunct professors, associate professors, etc to be addressed as PROFESSOR if they teach but there’s a limitation. It is only an informal name calling restricted to the college or university.

If Ayensu Danquah is reading, her Professor Title ceased to be valid immediately her term contract ended. Likewise, it expired when she crossed the boundaries of the University. She has no official title.the moment her contract ended.

How on earth do you expect her to be considered a full-time lecturer when she is in Ghana representing her people in Parliament on a daily basis?
The fact that a renowned University in the USA recognizes one of their lecturers as an Assistant Professor should be enough. Whether she is Adjunct or full time Lecturer does not in any way prevent her from using the Title in my opinion.
Afterall, Assistant Professors in Ghana use the title Prof. as part of their names.
I think GTEC unlike the other cases, is a little disingenuous in their handling of the MP case and must try to settle the issue with her with mutual respect.

African "academics" are so ineffective - and in many cases, so counter-productive that this whole thing about academia in Africa - in Ghana to be precise, has been reduced to a circus or a joke. Most of our leading universities are populated with so-called academics who lack even basic common-sense. They strut around with high sounding academic laurels as if these were trophies or exhibits won from wars. Meanwhile, after more than 60 years of independence, our so-called educated elite cannot even ensure that the most basic utilities such as water, electricity, and proper education and health are available and sustained even in urban areas.

Our problem in this country is not whose academic qualification is genuine or fake, but but rather, of what use the acclaimed qualifications that pompous good for nothing carry around, are.

For example, we have education Dr, we have medical Dr, and honorary Dr with this one can use any of them as title. Because the key word is Dr, again we have pupils teacher, we have graduate teacher, we have train teach all can use the teacher as title, because the key word is teacher, but in all if someone request for category or specification then the person will indicate which category or specification he or she belongs to, but for someone to stop them from using the title it is totally wrong, so the GTEC Boss must understand that. When GIMPA appointed him he was Dr.Adei. So from what rank did get promoted to be a Professor? I guess what GTEC is trying to address is a social problem that borders on title appropriation because the Ghanaian society has regard for titles and not those who add productive value to the economy. But GTEC has no power to verify anybody's academic credentials in so long as the person is not applying to teach or work in a university in Ghana. Because many Ghanaian academics can't think well, GTEC should have discission with Parliament on legislation on appropriating titles or degrees that cannot be justified so long as it is not given by an accredited institution in the jurisdiction so obtained.

How on earth do you expect her to be considered a full-time lecturer when she is in Ghana representing her people in Parliament on a daily basis?
The fact that a renowned University in the USA recognizes one of their lecturers as an Assistant Professor should be enough.
Whether she is Adjunct or full time Lecturer does not in any way prevent her from using the Title in my opinion.
Afterall, Assistant Professors in Ghana use the title Prof. as part of their names.
If such persons even decide to abandon academics entirely, are they prevented from using the Title they earned previously?
I think GTEC unlike the other cases, is a little disingenuous in their handling of the MP and must try to settle the issue with her with mutual respect.
Adjunct or otherwise, she earned the Title Prof.
Was GTEC expecting her not to use the title just because Adjunct was added to it?
As academics we need to respect one another.

She lied before Parliament and the people of Ghana,lying before parliament is perjury no less, she should apologize to the President and the people of Ghana for the dishonesty and fraud she has perpetrated,failing that Prof Jinapo should consider prosecuting her before a court of law if she persist with the foolishness she’s still displaying.
