While this may seem counter productive, let's ve mindful, the environment and context within which the president made this statement. Surely no Japanese will want to come to Ghana to sell ice water or do petty trading.

What is considered cottage industry in Japan is a big industry in Ghana. Plus ecowas protocols already allows our Nigerian and ecowas brothers to do business here unhindered.
Lets pray he has tactics in place to avert the influx of little minds into our economy.

@ Gogo, how many foreigners operate businesses in Nigeria as compared to Ghana? People walk more freely in Ghana than compared to Nigeria. Which sensible foreigner would come for business in Nigeria.

When is this incompetent govt going to think about making millionaires and billionaires in Ghana by promoting Ghanaian owned businesses..we have to be blunt, such stupidity needs to be stopped..enough of always politicians promoting foreign investment while’s neglecting local businesses..president mahama since u came into power, u have been trying so hard to sabotage some Ghanaian businesses simply because they belong to the opposition party..this nonesense cannot continue..#Ghanaian businesses must thrive..how long are we going to be continuing in this stupidity..nonesense
