  Without addressing the sale of the depressed land areas of Kumasi by the chiefs, this initiative will produce only temporary relief. By nature, Kumasi has her own natural "highlands" and "lowlands". While Kumasi may have expanded phenomenally, the frequent flooding cannot be be fully explained by the theory of population explosion.
