  The land at Borteyman does not belong to the university of Ghana anymore. The land was leased to them. They told the king of Borteyman that they want to renew but the king told them to relax. But they went to land commission and went to renew the leasing of the land for two hundred years without the knowledge of the king and the Nungua stool. A land cannot be used to lease for that amount of years. They are not even using it for farming as they said but they are selling some plots of the land in collaboration with land commission. They have sold some plots of the land to a certain Chinese man and they have also sold 12acres to a certain man from Hisense without the knowledge of the kingship. They also want to sell the little plots of the land that the king is planning to build a palace on and also give some to his members. They have joined heads with the sports personalities to threaten the king with the police and also take some plots of the land from him meanwhile they're leasing time is over and their documents have expired. The bitter truth is that, when the stadium was going to be built, the king was not even aware. When the affordable houses was going to be built, Collins Dawuda came to inform him but why is it that when the stadium was going to be built he was not informed ? This is because the university wants to take the land.
  Instead of farming on the land, they are rather selling plots of the land without the knowledge of the king. The Kings land has documents that were being made by the old administration which is the NPP. But they are still trying to take the land from the king. As we speak now, the case is in court and they are not even appearing because they have forged documents. We have being to the court nine several times and they did not even show .
  
  REASONS BEHIND THIS
  1.The Borteyman stool and elders states that, it unlawful and unconsionable for the university of Ghana to change the use of the land from agricultural to commercial without considering the interest of the Nungua stool and its subject in revenue accruing from the disposition of parts or whole of the land.
  
  2.The Borteyman stool and elders states that , it is unconscionable for the university of Ghana to dispose of the Nungua stool land to private persons for commercial consideration, resulting from the change in land-use , when they had acquired the land under the limited consideration and compensation by reason of its use as agricultural.
  
  We therefore call for the attention of the president of the republic of Ghana(His exellency John Dramani Mahama) to have a meeting with the university of Ghana and the Borteyman stool and his elders about this particular issue before things get out of hand . They should stop harassing Borteyman stool and his elders with the police . This has to stop now because they are rather making matters worser.
