As popular as Ken Agyapong claim he is, one would have expected him to turned his constituency into a Bantama or a Ketu South. Yet they lost the seat to the NDC. Dome Kwabyena which historically has about a 35,000 vote margin was taken too.

The NPP to me lost mainly on Economic grounds, Akuffo Addo's dead goat syndrome and the NDC's effective propaganda campaign. Obviously they had no message as usual. Even Jesus Christ would have lost as an NPP candidate. Times were hard.

Lemme also add that it was also because the NPP has done the usual 8 years and people wanted change.

It is about time the NPP realised on which side their bread is buttered and act in their own interest. If the NPP had done that instead of burying their heads in the sand like ostriches, they would have fixed the Kumasi highway and town roads instead of that Mpakadan railway to nowhere. If all the resources which Amewu wasted in Hohoe had been utilised in the party’s stronghold, the party faithful would not have been so pissed off as to refuse to vote. The party would not be in this mess.
Let those few who think they have a God-given right to decide for NPP supporters realise that the chosen flag bearer must reflect the will of the party faithful. And if the party faithful are unsophisticated enough to want Ken, then Ken must be given the chance. They should learn from the GOP in the USA. The Republicans held their noses and gave the flag bearer ship to Trump. And now they are in power!

Please let all NPP aspirants and their supporters note that it is the entirety of Ghanaians, not the electoral college of the party that vote and elect the President and that's why Mahama is President. It is not the gifts and benevolence to party members or even some larger Ghanaians that define the President Ghanaians need. Have your analysis not come to realisation that the greed, backbiting, hatred, jealousy, selfishness and selflessness among the leadership were the catalysts to the party's defeat. First identify losses at the Parliamentary levels and you'll know the reasons for the Presidential loss. NDC focused on the confusion and antagonism within the NPP Parliamentary candidates and their supporters and built their strategy around it. Anybody asked why NDC, never wanted a face- to-face encounter between Mahama and Bawumia? They knew their campaign would have sunk. They worked to deepen these differences. Potential NPP voters therefore not only refused to vote for NPP candidates, but some actually voted for independent candidates and worse still NDC MP candidates. Guess what, some of these ended up actually voting for Mahama. NPP lost the elections at the constituencies. Stop the infantile arguments and start your campaign, say what you plan doing for the party to win power and the country to develop. Campaign on your useful strengths and not on perceived failings of others.
