There have been Political and Social conflicts in various parts of the Northern Sector of Ghana since I was a baby. Extend Curfew to Bawku and its environs and bring in many Military Officers who don’t speak the languages there to enforce it. Yes, a strict Curfew will stop the nonsense of the people of the area. People who are caught up with the Curfew and carry weapons should be drilled in public drastically by the Police and the Military. This will make the people around the area learn some more sense. How can these people from some parts of the North of Ghana always create violent problems. Just let the Military and the Police handle the Curfew very sternly and the people will learn some sense and learn to co habit peacefully.

We have a member of this government say this and no one, not even PEACE COUNCIL or so called MEN OF GOD, raised eyebrows "A Dagomba doesn't go to police or court but settles issues on the street"– Basintale. Is this not an incentive enough for people up there to misbehave? Are there different laws for northerners and other laws for southerners? How much do they are to the national wealth that we spend so much money only on peace keeping there? It's about time my people sit down and use their brains! Free education started there in the 50s, why do you troop to the south to do menial jobs? If those in the south also start fighting among themselves, where will you run to? It's about time you start to live among yourselves as human beings. If you don't think as human beings, you'll continue to live in abject poverty. It's so sad!
