The chair should show empathy on these hard working public officers. Most of these infractions are not intentional and are not laden with corruption.; I would like to suggest that the chairman adopt the approach of Hon. Kan Fapaah when he was in the saddle.

Similarly, during the recent appearance the Deputy Minister of Finance made a statement at PAC that was later proven to be false. He stated that a CAGD staff member had demanded money from a GES staff before reactivating him on the payroll, and that upon refusal to pay, the payroll officer deactivated him. However, subsequent checks at CAGD revealed that this claim was unfounded. The GES staff in question was reactivated, but a month afterward, he was affected by the Ghana Audit Service suspensions—an issue entirely unrelated to money. Unfortunately, many individuals continue to spread such misinformation, unfairly tarnishing the reputation of CAGD staff.

I remember viewing this unfortunate PAC incident on TV and wondering if it was rather me who did not understand what was going on. Thankfully - and as would be expected, the great Domelevo has intervened and put some sense into the situation. That NPP woman who strangely took that funny decision, is said to be a co-chair of the PAC, and as would therefore be expected, she is not forthcoming with respectable or good analyses and decisions. Cadman Mills, her co-chair should keep a tight leash on her, lest she brings further disrepute to the PAC.
