The Windrush has been a controversial immigration in recent times. Those that are affected particularly, Carribbean decent and other Commonwealth Nationalities. Before 1973, anyone from these were allowed entry into the UK and we're considered citizens. Many affected did not seek to naturalise as British Nationalise, because they didn't need to. Many married had children and grandchildren even great grandchildren and their grandchildren travelled only for them to say you ain't British because your roots, mum or grandparents didn't have the right of abode in the country. It's a system error of the British authorities on immigration.
The woman needs a lawyer that understands the Windrush immigration laws to support her.....not just any immigration lawyer, over its discovery, there are good lawyers on that subject. I would advise, one checks with their immigration status before they travel to avoid some of this situation.
